179 days left... Week 1 Day 2

Hello again! I just had some tea and am feeling wide awake and refreshed. I don't know how that's possible since it's 45 degrees and raining, and my whole house just feels chilly....but I'm going to go with it. This picture is from almost 2 years ago, but I'm the same weight there as I am now, so I put it up.

I ate GREAT yesterday. I'm talking G.R.E.A.T.- At the restaurant I work at there is always super delicious food- and it's EXPENSIVE. I don't mean like $25 for steak and potatoes- I mean $30 for steak and potatoes are an extra $9 or so. Everything is ala carte. Good for tips, and I must say the food is excellent (the cooks in the back are brilliant)- but this also means that when there is extra food, or a mistake so it's given to the workers- it's really hard to pass up.
Yesterday I passed up our bacon hashbrowns, gorgonzola mac-n-cheese with lobster, strawberry cheesecake, cranberry bread w/honey butter, garlic cheese toast, and prime rib. PRIME RIB. I've never even gotten to try the prime rib at our restaurant yet and there was my chance to do it for free- and I didn't.

I'm proud of myself, but at the same time it was HARD. I left my house at 430- didn't get off work until almost 1030, so I was avoiding all this delicious food during my body's usual time to eat dinner!

Oh well, there will be many more days like this. At least I now have that day under my belt to show myself I can do it, and that you're ALWAYS happy afterwards that you didn't eat bad. I've NEVER eaten a huge cheat meal and then been glad for doing so. I always kick myself in the butt- and yesterday I had no need to do that. :)

So, things are going well being a whole day and a half into my 6 month plan. lol.

I do need to find more time to work out. Yesterday all I did was play with my kids in the backyard. I was picking them up and running around with them (that tires you FAST) and we only played for about a half-hour. I need to work out more than that! Tomorrow my goal is to get up at 7am and RUN before getting my daughter up for school. Here's hoping!

Goal for 10/29/09: don't eat bad food at work- bring some snacks with you?? and try to work out!!

Also, going to start a weekly weight goal. Yesterday I was 142.8- so my goal for NEXT Wednesday is to be 139lbs. Many of you might think that's a huge goal- but I lose fast when I'm doing everything right. On the flip side, I also gain fast off of just a bad meal or two. It's a lovely double edged sword....
